Meet the Author

W. BEN HUNT, a self-taught expert on the crafts of the Plains and Woodland Indians, was born in Wisconsin in 1888. Most of his life was spent teaching, creating artwork, building cabins and furniture, and lecturing about the out-of-doors. He is the author of many books, including Macmillan's The Complete How-to Book of Indiancraft.

    A pretty good book...

    This book doesn't really cover a lot as far as the specifics of log cabin building but it is a great starter book for someone that is interested in building one or thinks they are. If you do change your mind this book offers furniture building as well which is nice for finishing the cabin as well.

    Not the only book to get!

    This book leaves out a lot of details, on actually building a log home. on the pluss side it does offeralot of illiustrations on how to build log/wood furnishings
