This book introduces children to almost every classic monster in literature - the Frankenstein monster, The Mummy, Dracula, and The Wolfman, it pokes fun at their needs in a good way and tells kids what is needed to sustain each monster. This is a magnificent first-book for little kids to learn of monsters in a comical way to prepare them for the real myths. Now I know why my son loves 'Clifford the Big Red Dog' so much - 'same author'.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I was down in our basement going through some of my mothers old books she had when she was an early teen. I am now 23 years old, my mother now 44. I came aross this book and thought that it looked kinda funny, so I picked it up and read it for a few minutes. I loved this book, at age 23 I know that sounds pathetic, but I did. The illistrations were great and the humor was fun. The only gripe I have about the book, is sometimes Norman Bridwell uses the same pun jokes over and over where he could have been more creative and found other things to put in. That is why I give it 4 out of 5 stars. You need to read this book. Just like Frankenstein, you will get a real 'charge' out of this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
