Meet the Author

Please note that: The book, A Pirate's Adventure is now longer, it is now, 5 books put together. I worked as a janiter for two years, that wasn't my favorite career. I decided food service was the best. I worked at a hospital for two years In food service. In 1996 til 1998, I worked at a nursing home In food service. In 1998-2000, I worked at a fast food resturant. I won't miss the fast paced career of working in food service. I once broke a few glasses because they would always want me to go faster. Then on, i decided that the career I loved was writing and I have been doing that ever since I can remember. I remember, when I was in school, I heard one of the teachers say, I bet she will either be an actor or writer.... I was in a lot of plays at school. I loved being in the play The Music Man. I liked being in plays. Later on after I was out of highschool,I found writing to be enjoyable. That started my career as it were on writing. Thank you to all those people who bought my books.... God Bless You..... I would also like to Thank You reviewers for the good reviews.... I love pizza. My favorite hobbies include writing of course. I also love reading other books by other authors. I love listening to music in my spare time. I also enjoy sewing, when I have the time. One Christmas, I made blankets for everyone in the family. They are still being used to this day. The cat in the picture is Ozzy. He sure is spoiled. He thinks he runs the household. I also love other animals. My cat doesn't. That's ok though. I began writing when I was very young. I got some advice from a doctor to get my books published. I see people that would make good people in my books. I must admit,I do have a learning disorder, In 2008:when i wrote the book Called Vampire Serial Killer:I was diagnosed with it from the doctor, who told me to write. So, if the book the vampire serial killer seems strange, it's because I was going through a tough time. Please let me know what you think of my books. Here's great reviews from great people that loved my books.Melody's Passion-------------------------Review By Stella Graffen on Nov. 05, 2012-- WoW! Keeping it real

This e-book is 9 pages chock full of Gertie's experiences and thoughts about living with a disability. It is worth what I paid because I also have a disability and Gertie's words remind me of what is real.

Too often, writing about disability culture leaves US out. We need you Gertie. And it's about time we begin to claim our piece of the pie. To professional helpers and curebies: Nothing about us without us ever again.

P.S. Please write some more stuff, Gertie, if you want to. You rock!

Thank you for putting this out to people.

I enjoyed youe book Gerty. You said it plain and to the point. I have a difficult time when I witness disrespect given to a person with a disability. Sometimes I think its fear on their end...they need to really get to know that person. You hang in there.

    Wonderful story!

Thank you for writing your story. It gives "typical" people something to think about. I hope you do well in your life and won't need to worry so much. Please write more books. The special needs community needs more honest, revealing books like this! Good job, Gerty!
