    ^_^

this book was very good, compaired to what my friend got, it rox. The one she got was for 'intermediate' people, they expect you to draw ALL details in one phase!! One of my other friends got one that only gave you charcters. this one give you some option, not just random cartcters that nobody knows about, Whats the point of learing to draw a random robot guy that no one even cares about!! thats the exact reason why i love this book!!^_^

A great Manga book to start drawing with!

I used this book to help me draw Anime, and so far, I've really improved. It's a great book for beginners, but if you are more serious and into manga drawing for awhile, you might want to try another set of Manga books called the 'How to Draw Manga' series. I've picked this book up a couple of times while I was in the bookstore and well...even though there is some nudity, you will really need to learn about atonomy in art. I highly suggest this book and the other series.

    A Great Starting point

I really like this book. All my friends were in to manga, so I decided to buy this book and try it for myself. Warning: If you try this, you will never draw the same again. It is best for the begginer, as it is just the absolute basics, and there is little about different styles. Definately a good book to start with, though!

    Dude!

I'm a Manga junkie and I give this book two thumbs up. YOU HAVE GOT TO GET IT!!!!!! How awsome is it? If you're like me, you won't stop drawing until you've drawn every figure in the book.

    Nice...

I got this book when I was 12 when first started Manga drawing. It is really simple and I understood it enough when I was younger to start my drawing, however it isn't enough to become a good manga artist.

    Erm...

This book is very dissapointing to me. The anime characters look like they were drawn by an amateur artist. What bugged me the most were the eyes. The good thing about the book was that the colouring was good and the shape of the bodies were pretty decent. The second one was better, but I prefer the original how to draw manga for pros. This is good for beginners who have no experience in anime ^^

    Bleh.

Bought this book in 7th grade. Her drawings look like a 12 year olds who has just began drawing. I don't like her style and I don't suggest it to people who really want to learn to draw well this would be nice for a 6-8 year old.. MAYBE. BTW: to little girl under me somewhere. Samurai X IS NOT Manga, nor Anime.

    ok

Her style is alot better in how to draw more manga and i bought it in year 5 (2 years ago from today). How to draw more manga is ALOT better her style really improved. i have a freind who was doing this style and she didnt turn out a very good drawer. I have been doing the How To Draw Manga series and it was alot better. the Chibis in this book are VERY disopointing.

    How disappointing

Katy Coope, 'How to draw manga' book is awful. Her other book 'how to draw more manga' is much more better( her art inproved). The drawing style is not good for serious manga artists. The best it can offer is little drawing tips.

    FOR KIDS ONLY

I bought the book when I was in 8th grade. Sure, it helps with extreeeemely basic things, but for any serious artist? Don't waste your money. For the parents out there, I'd reccomend getting this book for your young children. ...the art style itself is pretty ugly though.
