This is the first time I have ever written a review on anything, but I feel so strongly about this book that I had to give it one. This title, and all others related, is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I've read every book in the course, and anyone who knows me would tell you how it's changed me. In a long line of self-improvement books, this one really stands tall. I would recommend this book anybody, anywhere.

In this day of self-help mania, it¿s hard to know where to start. Everywhere you turn there¿s another book being released by a motivational speaker. It¿s time to get back to basics, and the best way to do that is to go to the father of self-help himself ¿ Dale Carnegie. This compilation of the best of his classics could be re-titled ¿Dale Carnegie¿s Greatest Hits.¿ It is packed with anecdotes of how famous and not-so-famous people through the ages have hit tough situations in life and overcome them. Although some of the language is dated ¿ Carnegie wrote much the material in the 1930¿s ¿ the situations he portrays are not limited to any era. You will be encouraged to know that you, too, can be happy, popular and organized. We recommend this book to anyone who works with people in any capacity; it could drastically change how you approach your life and the people around you.

My dad made me read the series of Dale Carnegie when I was a little girl. It was a long time ago, in another country and the book was in another language. It became my personal bible. I just found it yesterday in English at B&N and I'm THRILLED! Believe me, this is the best book you could ever read on self-improvement. I read it at least 20 times and remember Dale's saying every time I'm about to do something not so good. This book should become a textbook for students who take Effective Speaking classes! And not only for them, I'd recommend it to anybody I know! If you REALLY want your life to be better and want to be a better person and want to feel better about yourself, THIS IS THE BOOK for you. I'd recommend to get ALL of the books in the series, they are only $6.75 a piece. You cannot go wrong with Dale!

This book contains content blended from two Dale Carnegie books: "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and "How to Stop Worrying and Enjoy Life." I'd already read "How to Win Friends" less than a year ago, so the content was relatively fresh in my mind and it seemed like the majority of this book contains content from that volume. I really enjoy the pieces that were from "How to Stop Worrying" and I'll need to add that book to my list, because I would have liked to have more of it within this book. It was an excellent book to help kick off the new year!

this book is nothing but excerpts from 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' and 'How to Stop Worrying and Start Living' both from Dale Carnegie. So if you don't have time to read the those two books then this is the book for you which quickly covers important chapters from both the books.
