The reader is shown how to use glass strand mat, woven fiberglass cloth, carbon fiber cloth, and hybrid fabrics for particular applications. The strength of these mats and ideal uses are covered in detail. Also shown is how to correctly mix the typical resins (polyester, epoxy), hardeners, and gels.     Author Daniel Burrill, with expert assistance from Jeffrey Zurschmeide, has provided a well organized, step-by-step guide to fabricating automotive fiberglass and carbon fiber parts. There are a multitude of illustrated color photos in combination with a well-written narrative to give the novice or the expert all the information that is needed to accomplish the job at hand. By reading and studying this book, virtually anyone with a can-do spirit and some common sense, would be able to manufacture custom parts, repair stock components, create accurate fiberglass or carbon fiber molds, effectively and efficiently apply resin and gel coat, and construct carbon fiber parts. Mr. Burrill began his relationship with fiberglass at the tender age of 10 years old. Thankfully for us readers, he brings his many years of experience in working with fiberglass and carbon fiber, in addition to working on hot rods and kit cars to bear in creating this informative guide. Should you wish to work with fiberglass and/or carbon fiber with the automotive project in your garage, your shop needs Mr. Burrill's how-to fiberglass and carbon fiber book as an essential tool to achieving the results you seek.
