This book is a fun read for children, with some wonderful illustrations guaranteed to capture their attention. The best aspect of the book, however, is its message. This book demonstrates the importance of 1) planning, 2) working to obtain something, 3) saving for the future, and 4) personal responsibility. Told in rhyme, the story is about a boy who wants a wagon, so he does extra chores to earn money, which he saves until he has enough to buy the wagon.

This is a delightful and fun short story in rhyme with a very important message. I highly recommend this book to all parents with young children. The message is encouraging children to save part, or all of their allowance in order to get something they really want, instead of impulsively buying little things now. The little boy in the story learns that if he works even harder he can make even more money to save for the wagon, thereby getting it even sooner.

This is a powerful life lesson that will stay with them all their lives... giving them a feeling of satisfaction, pride, and accomplishment to know that he/she did it himself/herself.

This is the perfect book for your child. I highly recommend it!
