I loved this book . I am right now struggling with part time Freelance Graphic Design and full time teaching. I am kind of winging it and was becoming doubtful of my procedures and the path i was taking. I expected the book to give succinct tips on the process and it did. Surprisingly, How to Grow as an Illustrator made me realize that other successful professionals in the field are or have gone through the same thing and doing the same things. In the book, many artists offered strategies to become a better estimator and marketer of one's talents and abilities. When the read was all over, I had many notes of resources gleaned from the book to look to. Another surprise was that the author attended the same University as I. It is a must read for anyone trying to make it in the graphic freelance world, not just in illustration.
