    Sage advice for getting along with people

    The world has changed so dramatically over the past half-century that many advice books from so long ago are no longer relevant, but Les Giblin's relationship-oriented work seems likely to endure forever. The ideals he espoused in 1956 still represent the bedrock fundamentals for getting the most depth and satisfaction from your interpersonal connections. You'll be impressed with Giblin's grasp of human nature. What's more, his advice is applicable in all areas of life. He is refreshingly upbeat and unfailingly positive. He clearly believes in humanity's inherent goodness. getAbstract recommends his warm, sage counsel.

    Life changing literally!!!

    This book from front to back has gems all over in plain sight. It is delivered in old fashion terms and does start out a little slow. All you have to do is translate what he is saying to modern day times and get the ball rolling, from there get ready to change your life! I was struggling a little bit with communicational skills which I thought I had mastered before. This book taught me the keys to success no matter what you are trying to do. Everything neccessary for success in our day to day lives has to do with dealing with people whether we like it or not, might as well have Confidence and Power doing it! Thank You!

    I really liked it !

    It was a very good book for someone who needs to build confidence when dealing with people. I enjoyed it and have read many books on meeting people and getting over shyness. If you want to meet women and are shy there is a great book called 'How To 'Pick Up' Beautiful Women' by John Eagan.It has helped me get over my shyness with women. Which is somening you can not put a price on.

    Keeps you interested

    Before I read this book I was trying to make friends with people out of desperation because I was lonely. Putting myself first all the time. This book teaches you to listen to a persons needs and feed on their ego so that you will get what you want from them without even trying out of desperation.

    Great book for people like me!!

    This was a fantastic book. Gives great tips about how to immediately establish confidence in someone when you first meet them. A great book for someone who deals with lots of different people on a daily basis.

    Good Stuff

    Filled with down-to-earth, basic and true advice for understanding people and ways of interacting with them that work. The topic is kept simple and practicle. Sage advice. Dollar for dollar, it's one of the best books on dealing with people I've ever read.

    A MUST-HAVE!!!

    This book brings out so many facts about people and why they do some of the things they do. It really puts out hard facts and tests that have been done on many different people and businesses. In introduces an entire new approach to people, ones that we always tend to overlook. If more people read this book, our world could be a much nicer place. Great for relationships, family, etc.....please read this book!!!

    Understanding People was Never Easier

    This book was absolutely life changing. It helped me understand the reasons why people do things that make no sense. It also helped my relationship with my wife. I have found I have better relationships with co-workers and family because I read this book. Its a must read for everyone.

    One of the all-time best books.

    I love this book. In many ways, this book gave me a greater practical understanding of human nature and how to deal with it than any book I've ever read, and I've read a lot of them. I've re-read this book many times because there are certain factors about our own human nature that blind us to those same factors operating in others. Understanding those factors is very powerful and helps relationships of all kinds. I'm the author of the book, Self-Help Stuff That Works, and I'm an expert in the field of self-help, and I can tell you that Giblin's book is one of the best in the field. It's also easy and enjoyable to read.
