I would consider this a great read for the Homeowner on the lookout for simple, practical solutions to the ongoing problem of increasing the value of their home. The authors do a fantastic job at summarizing the details into well organized chapters which come in handy for the do-it-yourselfer to the contractor. I found myself reviewing their 'text boxes' of information often. Another aspect of the book I found surprising, was that it committed several pages on the 'no-homeowner-would-ever-admit-it' subject of 'When Good Projects Go Bad' --- stating lessons learned and practical tips (e.g. Recordkeeping). I will reccommend to those neighbors of mine that have the mindset of 'Increasing the Value of their home' (as well as their neighborhood's)!!

Homeowners confronting the decision to sell or remodel their homes will find all the information they need to make an informed decision.

We read this book because we were thinking of making additions to our house and we wanted to know the possible impact of those upgrades. What a time saver !!! This is the second book we have read by Ms Lankarge and find she has a unique ability to make recommendations to complex problems. After moving 18 times with the Air Force we wish we had this book as a guide 'back then'. This book is a money and time saver !!!
