I went through a painful breakup recently and basically lost my best friend. I was shocked at how hard I took it and was confused by the depression and conflicting emotions. This book was realistic and not weird. It helped me to see that what I was feeling is normal and that it's ok to feel emotions and that the grief process while painful is a process and will get better in time. I found this book after a recent relationship ended. I felt like I was alone in this world and no one else felt like me. This book made me feel normal again. It tells you things that you thought only you were feeling. So many times while reading this book I said, ' oh man, that is totally me'. It helps you cope with daily life and begins the healing process. It let me know that healing takes time and a lot of people go through this.
