The author does a good job of outlining the basics of starting a studio, but his age catches up with him and many of his methods are outdated. He uses techniques that my have sold years ago, but now he's going on his reputation, which a new photographer can't do... A new photographer needs fresh ideas that aren't already being done by the dozens of professionals that have been in the field a while. This book has some good points to be used as a general reference, but is by no means a bible for opening a studio.
