Editorial Reviews

NBC Today Show
Dr. Rimm is a welcome voice of calm and reason--someone who offers practical advice, with almost immediate results. She's a guardian angel for families who need a little or a lot of guidance.

It is usually difficult to get my husband to read any books, but I got him to read this one. The pointers are great; they are both practical and enlightening, especially those reminding parents that they should set an example for their child. What is really excellent are the highlighted one-liners that summarize the advice in each section--the only bits I could get my husband to read!
The Washington Post
Dr. Rimm's book provides...a rich array of suggestions...the kind of down-to-earth advice parents desperately seek when struggling to motivate their underachievers.
