How to Pick a Spouse: A Proven, Practical Guide to Finding a Lifelong Partner
"If you are thinking about getting married, you need to read this book."—Neil Clark Warren, founder, eHarmony.com

Anyone can get married. The goal, however, should not only be to marry—but to marry the right person.

As a singles pastor, author Dan Chun worked exclusively with more than 5,000 singles, and of the hundreds who were married under his teaching, less than 10 percent got a divorce—far below the national average. This book incorporates Pastor Dan's principles, which provide practical and proven ways to pick a spouse, and is your guide to finding—and keeping—a lifelong partner. You will discover how to test your relationship for key differences using a variety of methods including the Seven Cs: Character, Chemistry, Competency, Cultural Differences, Commitment, Communication, and Core Values.

Experts agree: Whether you are dating or planning to date, How to Pick a Spouse will give you clear, usable information for guiding your heart and mind before making one of your most important decisions ever.

What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

An amazing book on an exceedingly important subject. I highly recommend it to all single adults.
Gary Chapman, Ph.D., Bestselling Author, The Five Love Languages

… the marriages launched via this teaching have an amazing success rate compared to the national average.
Shaunti Feldhahn, Bestselling Author, For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men and For Men Only: A Straightforward Guide to the Inner Lives of Women

Dan Chun points out that many people spend more time choosing a house than they do choosing a spouse. He brings great Biblical knowledge and personal wisdom and pastoral experience to one of the most important decisions a human being can make.
John Ortberg, Senior Pastor, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church; Author, Who Is This Man?

I wish I could hand this book to anyone who is even semi-seriously dating or single and looking. My friend Dan Chun provides wisdom, experience, truth and humor in reminding us it's better to be single than unhappily married. However, if you follow the principles in this book, you will have much better odds of finding the right spouse and living out a successful marriage. I love this book.
Jim Burns, Ph.D., President, HomeWord; Author, Creating An Intimate Marriage and Closer: 52 Devotions to Draw Couples Together
