    Disappointing Reads Like a Commercial

    I am a new investor, and I was looking for books on investing in foreclosures and pre-foreclosures that I could add to my home library as references. How to Pick Up Foreclosures: My Step by Step Guide to Get Super Discounted Properties before the Auction by Wade Cook caught my attention because the title seemed to be just what I was looking for. However, this book was a huge disappointment. Everytime I thought I was going to get meaningful information that I could use, the chapter ended and there was a note referring to Mr. Cook's home study course for more detailed information on the topic. This was such a common occurance through out this book that I found it distracting and felt like I was reading a commercial for Mr. Cook's home study courses. Needless to say, I put this book back on the shelf and continued to preveiw other books on the subject that were truly educational. While I found several books, I purchased two to take home for more detailed reading.
