    Terrific!

This book had even a musically challenged person like me playing songs immediately. Yes, you could probably buy a better (and boring) book on music theory, but if you just want to start playing this is the book for you.

    Better then Dummies or Idiots

I definately give this book a five star rating. I am a beginner myself, never even touch the music world, the only thing that is close to composing music was making beats on my computer with fruity loops(what a joke) but then I start to get more and more interested and wanted to invest some money to purchase a keyboard, and like I said before, I don't have any musical background, so I don't even know what you are talking about when you say an E flat, or middle c or whatever. This book takes you step by step to compose, and make your own music. It starts you off with short fun songs, and it gets more advance. It helps you learn how to read music, and after you get done with this book, you WILL know how to play your keyboard. If you are more of a reference type of person and not all about getting right down to learning, maybe the dummies or idiot book will be better, but they are almost $12 more, but over all, this is one of the best books I have seen through my research on instructional books to teach you how to play keyboards.
