Best PPST Study Guide and Must Have for the Computer PPST

This is the absoultely BEST PPST study book. I got nearly perfect scores on the Computerized PPST, thanks to this book. The Mathematics, Reading and English review in this book are just great. There is lots of practice and explained answers. Mathematics was hardest for me but the highest test I got on the PPST was on the mathematics. The mathematics review section was the best I have ever used. The computer PPST is a lot different from the regular PPST. This is the only book with a practice computer PPST. If you are going to take the computer PPST like I did you absolutely need this book. The practice tests are fantastic, and a little bit harder than the test I took. That made the real test that much easier and more relaxing. Do not make the mistake I did and buy the ETS book. The tests in this book were more like the real test and the ETS book did not have a computer PPST. I read reviews of other books and found out that the ETS web site has a lot of extra practice questions for free. You click on tests at a glance for this test. I do not think you should need the extra questions, but there is not any reason why you should have to pay for them.

    Don't waist your money

I purchased this book before taking the praxis and in my opinion it was a waist. The math is great for refreshing if you have been away from it for a while. I found that the reading portion of the book gives good strategies but when you apply them to the questions, the answers are very argumentive. The author only give a detail explanation of how to solve the 'Main idea' questions on the PRAXIS test but not the others. I found later that there are 12 different types of reading questions on the PRAXIS test. On one particular answer the author stated, 'Like it or not, that's the answer the author is looking for'. The writing portion of this study guide I would grade as somewhat 'fair', but again some of the answers are so vague they are questionable. If you are really interested in passing the PRAXIS the first time, I highly recommend ordering the study guide from ETS. It is specific on all of the answers and questions, and you can test yourself with real (retired) praxis test. The book cost $30., but I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. They make the test, so let them prepare you to pass it! You will be glad you read this review! :)

Taking the Computer PPST - Get this book

This is a wonderful book for the Computerized PPST. Great review in all the subjects but mainly math where I needed help. This book has a complete practice Computer PPST Test that is very different from the regular PPST as well as two practice regular PPSTs.

The only study guide you'll need!

Buy this one! I had no idea what to expect before taking the Praxis I. This book is awesome. I originally bought this one over the others because it was the cheapest, boy, did I luck out! I scored WELL above the requirements. The subject reviews and diagnostic sections were really helpful. The practice tests are great!

    Excellent for the Computerized PPST

This book is excellent for the Computerized PPST. One of the practice tests is just like the Computerized format and the other two practice tests were for the regular PPST and they helped too. The review and the practice exercises helped me a lot.
