Barrons is usually accused of being much harder than the actual test, and it's true. However, the book was also comprehensive. If you need help with the math sections of the SAT, then I highly reccommend this book. It separates all the possible math questions into 20 different categories, and each category teaches you abuot the topic, provides main facts, and has about 10-15 practice questions, along with answers/explanations. The book also came with vocabulary cards, which I felt helped me prepare for the critical reading part. However, I feel that the book didn't help me much with the essay. The practice tests were very hard, certainly harder than the actual SATs, so if you're up for trying something harder, than I reccommend this. I also felt a little aggravated at times getting scores that were below what I wanted. However, when I took the PSATs and the SATs, I found that the book helped me a lot my actual score was much higher than my score on the practice tests, and the math section in the book helped me get my goal score.
