I bought this book at the urging of a friend and was not disappointed.
Not only is it chock full of essential information on how to raise a chicken,
not only is it full of really beautiful pictures, the text is written in a great,
easy-to-read manner that just sucked me in and kept me reading.
I love this author's style! Wish she would put out a book on raising rabbits ¿

The two things that stood out to me about this volume were its exhaustive content and its colorful, easy-to-use format. There's a lot of information here, ranging from breed backgrounds to contact numbers to, as the title indicates, plenty of "how-to" information. The photographs beautifully illustrate the written content, which includes quick-hitting breakouts that keep the narrative from getting bogged down. It's all well-organized and thoughtfully composed. Definitely a worthwhile purchase for those interested in raising chickens.
