I appreciate simplicity. Sure, I had no trouble using a computer when you had to type in commands, but having a graphic interface makes it easier and simpler. Simple does not mean less powerful, it just means that more people will have access to the power. How to Read the Tarot by Sylvia Abraham is a simple book. By that I mean it can give anyone the power to quickly memorize the meanings of all 78 Tarot cards and give powerful, insightful readings.

The method is based on keywords. You only need to learn 26 - the same as the number of letters in the English alphabet. So if you can read these words, you can read the Tarot!

Each number is given a keyword. For example, all of the sixes relate to "I choose." Each of the four suits is assigned a keyword, too. Since the keyword for swords is "problems and troubles," the meaning of the six of swords is "I choose to stay or run away from my problems and troubles."

It really is that easy not to just learn the meanings of the cards, but to memorize them all. Of course, a system like this is just a starting point. You then expand on the meanings through interpretation of symbols on the cards. A list of Tarot symbols and their meanings is included. You also add to the meanings by using your intuition. Practice with the Tarot will enhance your intuitive powers.

Also included are several Tarot spreads and how to use them. The famous Celtic Cross spread is explained as are spreads using astrology and the Kabalistic Tree of Life.

Together, this books makes a powerful system that you can quickly learn. Get this book now and you'll be doing readings in one week!

    very helpful

The keyword system is very useful for helping to memorize the general, basic meaning of each card so you can do readings without using a book sooner and quickly move on to more intuitive readings. It's simple and easy to understand. This is a great book for someone just beginning to study the Tarot.

    teenage tarot reader

Very straight forward and easy to understand. Great new 'key word' system that really clarifies each card and its meanings. I recommend it for all beginners as a tool to understanding the full power of the tarot. Comes with many good spreads to learn and use.
