I have had, in my lifetime, many, many, experiences and memories, to write about. I would like to share my life happenings with people, by writing short stories, letters, notes, etc. This book, 'How To Say It', is the perfect book to read, before I get out my writing materials. I have been a caregiver for many years the last person that I cared for could not be left alone, could not be in another room, where I couldn't see him, so I couldn't write I had no time. On July 1st. of 2004, 'My Special Friend' was admitted to a hospital, then to two different nursing homes, and on March 1st., of 2005, he passed away, leaving me alone. I now have time, pencils, erasers, paper, and after I read Rosalie Maggio's book, 'How To Say It,' I would love to write my memories of 'My Special Friend,'etc.

I have had the opportunity to read a number of this author's Quotation books, as well as her books giving advice on letter writing and on Non-sexist Wordfinding. In short, she is terrifically knowledgeable, and her writing style is vibrant and entertaining! I highly recommend this new book, and any of her older books, too. In particular, The New Beacon Book of Quotations by Women, Quotations for the Soul, and Quotations on Love are well worth owning. Rosalie Maggio has gradually developed a vast collection of information about words and their uses, and she does a fine job sharing that knowledge so we can all be better writers and readers.
