I own many self-help, personal skills and motivation books/audiobooks - I admit it. Some are life-changing and some are OK. The 'OK' books I always try to take a positive spin on and tell myself that I at least learned or reinforced one or two things in my life. This particular audio book is disappointing in every facet and is borderline cheezy. The ideas and concepts demonstrated are out-of-touch and seemingly for single desparate folk. Sure it's great to find new lines to pick someone up but I was looking for concepts to make better conversations. The first example Don Gabor makes is in reference to opening a conversation with a woman at your local gym... sure that's cool... but the example is like a Saturday Night Live skit. Isn't it faux pas to come up to a woman you don't know in a gym and start conversations and ask them to have something to eat or drink after the work out? Aren't you going to be the 'gym vulture' that the many women I hear complain about? Well Don Gabor thinks it's a good idea to do so. If you are a sales professional, a manager, business owner - I'd recommend something else and steering clear of this title. If you have zero conversational skills this might help but I think you may end up going backwards in your quest to better conversation skills. I give this audio book 2 stars because it was cheap and it was a only 38 minutes (not really the stated 40 mins - thankfully) so it wasn't a huge waste of time.

The tape was excellent, straightforward and easy to follow. Each side is only 20 minutes long, so you don't have to make time to listen to it. The advice is very easy and doable.
