    Love this book!

I got this as a Christmas present for my cat-obsessed younger sister, and I can't wait to hear her thoughts on the book. It's a good book, very nice for a coffee table book that a guest would actually read while they're sitting waiting for you. It could also be a great discussion piece. :)

    I wish I hadn't bought it

This book starts out funny and I thought it would be a fun gift for my cat loving sis but the language was offensive after a few pages. Had I know that I would not have wasted my money on it.

I was lured in by the title and thought it might be a fun book to share with my daughter. Lesson learned. Next time I will be sure to read the reviews. Interesting as the title may be to a cat lover it was not at all what I had expected. The pages are filled with cartoons and hardly any reading at all. Among the few words that fill the pages are enough expletives that keep this from being a child friendly book..... and frankly as an adult I would have been more impressed if the obscene language had been left out.

    Too much swearing

Would have considered it moderately funny if there were not so many SWEAR words. I will be returning the book, as I would not share this with anyone else!

After seeing a splendid review of How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You I knew I had to read the book and luckily I was able to score a copy of it through my library.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but it certainly wasn't what I got. I thought I would be in for a comic that would have laughing hysterically given what so many people were saying about the book on Goodreads and Amazon.

Too bad for me it wasn't as funny as I had hoped at all. The Comics were cute but weren't anything to write home about. I thought they were only mildly funny and I was greatly disappointed by that fact considering one of my favourite bloggers gave the book such a stellar review of it I found it to be bland and pretty stereotypical with the basic cat jokes.

While it was a quick and easy read I just look at it as if it was just something to occupy my time in between reading novels. I wish I had liked the book more and I wish the material tied in with the title a lot more but it didn't which I found to be a little misleading.

Overall, this was an okay read. Not bad but not Good. Apart from the occasional giggle I wasn't very entertained at all and I would only recommend this book to be read as a little novelty read for cat lovers in a stocking at Christmas.

If you don't follow The Oatmeal, you won't get it.  And you'll find it offensive and rate it one star. Do some research before you purchase a book... Matt is hilarious, but if you don't already understand his humor, you may not find his book as entertaining.

Hilarious book, most of the other reviews overexaggerate the language

This book represents perfectly what my cat us thinking. I had a great time reading it over and over again and sharing my favorite pages with my friends. There is some light sexual content, which is limited to one section and only includes non-explicit references to sex itself (again, only the word is used). The language, contrary to most of the negative reviews, is NOT BAD AT ALL. The worst word in here is "douche" and let's face it, that's a cleaning device. The only people that would find this book offensive are kids younger than ten and overprotective parents/siblings.

I instantly took a liking to this because of my adoration for cats. :) A funny comic (and hilarious explanation) of your cat’s weird and sometimes peculiar behavior. BEWARE everyone. Haha.

    Good.

This is a very hilarious book. However I did not like the frequent use of "god damn" and other vulgar words. Thats why I didnt give it a full 5 stars.
