Ever wonder what your picture would look like if¿¿¿.

You can find out with the help and information contained in ¿How to Wow with Photoshop Elements 4¿ and the accompanying CD. Most anything you can envision and more is offered to show you the way and help you accomplish amazing results. The authors have put primary emphasis on quality, flexibility and speed. If you¿ve ever found yourself reading and rereading a program¿s¿ Help file¿, you¿ll understand how helpful a source with pictures and simple step-by-step directions will be. The book is written for beginning and intermediate level users, although I think a beginner might find it a bit mind-boggeling with all the options and myriad of possibilities. Even so, I believe most would have a great deal of fun reading and clicking through many of the examples offered. The authors have compiled very clear and understandable guides on Photo Optimizing, Retouching, and Enhancing along with ¿how-to¿s¿ on creative projects such as slide shows and multimedia presentations. There are steps for those interested in performing plastic surgery on anyone or anything creating custom wrapping paper scrapbook pages and making promotional flyers and cards. Managing layers and colors along with camera raw files are among other subjects covered and presented with explanations and guidance into whatever realm of image adjustments your mind can conceive. Particularly impressive are the beautiful high quality photos offered on the CD. All are samples shown in the book with extra images to explore. Many are shown both in thumbnail and full screen size and some are very finely detailed close-ups. Most all would make a wonderful background or foreground for your own composites. Or, use them to play with by following some of the illustrations offered in chapters on adjusting lighting, hue and saturation removing color casts adjusting and enhancing detail and contrast using blending modes, and numerous other possibilities. It is exciting to use this book as a tool to experiment and develop your own new and inspired possibilities. Expect surprises and comments from friends on your creative talent in design and graphic art as well as photos.
