    Great guide to creative thinking

This is not just a how-to guide, but a series of explanations and exercises that can actually turn a non-writer into a poet. The exercises give you a completely new way of viewing even the most mundane things. Even items and activities you would not have expected become fodder for poems. The author shows you how to view things and break them down into textures, colors and feelings . This guide gives you easy to follow exercises that have you writing poems in a few short minutes. You will also create habits that will enrich your mind and make you think like a poet, and become one. I enjoyed the way this guide was laid out, and how the different types of poetic techniques were explained. The glossary of terms at the end, and the ideas for expanding your writing by sharing it with others were a great way to end the book. The lessons learned here have inspired me to write even more.
