Overview

Offering sample writings, historical examples, and practical advice, this invaluable and beautifully packaged book contains guidance for all occasions that call for eloquent and inspired love letters. Modern model letters to adapt and use in specific circumstances, tips on letter-writing techniques, and creative suggestions for packaging and delivering messages of love are peppered with fanciful, original Victorian illustrations, making the look of this volume as romantic as the letters within. With charming specificity, guidance and appropriate words are provided for various would-be Shakespeares, from the “morning-after lover” and the “anniversary lover” to the “frustrated lover” and the “neglected lover.” Also included are a short history of epistolary romance, 76 model letters, and a host of helpful and witty epigrams.

    What a great book!

It¿s definitely not a boring book. It¿s full of interesting facts and wonderful artwork. There are so many things to think about and so many ideas for writing your love letters, even the first timer will have no problems writing an amazing love letter.

    Romance is alive ...

I found this book totally misplaced in the wrong section of a big bookstore (fate?) and was immediately intrigued with the title. Yes I'm a hopeless romantic so it was easy to take home. The various passages make for great reading.

Not as I expected, but still good.

After giving my girlfriend the first book in this series by Michelle Lovric (Love Letters: An Anthlogy of Passion), I was excited to get the second book, but was also a bit let down. I was expecting the same style with letters in envelopes and seals and such, but this book just has excerpts next to the actual text on how to write a love letter. It is still a wonderful book and will make a nice gift, especially paired with the third book (Passioante Love Letters), which is in the same style as the first.
