About the Author

Alex Haddox is an internationally recognized personal security expert. He holds teaching credentials from the National Rifle Association (NRA) in multiple disciplines including Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) and is accredited by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services as a firearms instructor (TIF 2258). He holds the rank of Black Belt in American Kenpo, writes a recurring column for Tae Kwon Do Times Magazine and has published a book on home protection, entitled Practical Home Security: A Guide to Safer Urban Living, that has sold internationally and been translated. Additionally, Mr. Haddox has nearly 20 years experience as a technical writer, holds a Masters degree in Adult Education and Training and hosts a free weekly podcast, called Practical Defense, with downloads in the millions and fans in over 135 countries.
