Meet the Author

Wayne F. Cascio is US Bank Term Professor of Management, University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. A Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, Academy of Management, and American Psychological Association, he has received the Distinguished Career award from the HR Division of the Academy of Management. He authored the classic Costing Human Resources. John W. Boudreau is Research Director at the Center for Effective Organizations, and Professor of Management and Organization at Marshall School of Business, USC. He is recognized worldwide for breakthrough research on links between human capital and competitive advantage. David Russo is Principal and CEO of Eno River Associates, Inc., a consulting practice which helps executives build high performing organizations by developing win-win relationships with the workforce. His clients have included American Express, Johnson & Johnson, American Eagle Outfitters, and the CIA. He was senior HR executive for SAS Institute. Alison Davis, CEO of Davis and Company, has helped companies such as Georgia-Pacific, IKEA, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and PepsiCo engage and motivate employees. She co-authored Your Attention, Please. Jane Shannon, now an independent consultant, served as VP of HR Communication at Citibank.
