    more from this reviewer

    Highly Recommended!!

This is a GREAT way to get these 5 books by HT NIght. This is a really fun series with a different spin on the Vampire/Werewolf theme. I love the characters and the interactions between them. HT is able to write in a way that really makes me feel like I know what Josiah and Tommy are going through. I really enjoy these books and look forward to more!

    Amused

I find it very amusing that the readers that spent time to complain about the typos in the books are full of typos themselves. I have no problem overlooking typos if the story is worth reading, and these stories are.

As compelling as Rocky, as magical as Narnia, as funny as Jackie Chan!,

While on a training run one night, mixed martial arts professional fighter Josiah Reign saves a young woman from a terrible fate, fighting off her multiple attackers and getting badly injured in the process. Through a strange twist of fate, he plunges into the young woman's world, a world of offbeat creatures of the night who have an entire dark society and supernatural counterculture. I was engaged by the hero, who is as chivalrous as he is funny, as brave as he is compassionate. Josiah's lifepath as a dedicated (but sometimes lazy) MMA fighter is utterly compelling. I was drawn in by the hero's life losses and triumphs, as well as his sense of humor and the undercurrent of being a good guy in every situation, even though he beats up the bad guys when they deserve it, and beats up the good guys in the ring. Like "Rocky," his fight skills, his passion for a beautiful woman/women, and his brave heart make him a formidable hero, one who is strong enough to carry an amazing series on his broad shoulders. The women characters are very sexy and mysterious and always lead Josiah into trouble and dangerous situations. The magical premise of the series is as engaging and original as Narnia. The author has refreshed the books with polished professional editing. I found Vampire Love Story to be well written and sparkling with the kind of professionalism that you expect of a bestselling author. Against the backdrop of professional martial arts fighting, the magic, the mystery, and the humor, makes this vivid character series one of the most original and engaging since I first cut my reading teeth on the Narnia books. The fight life, male viewpoint and comic relief is endearing and admirable. With an undercurrent of social consciousness, the series has all of the ingredients for a recipe for many good reads. Yes, you will want to read these again! Urban creature fantasy has a rising star and his name is H.T. Night. He knows what makes a good story tick! Five stars and recommended read! -- Eve Paludan, Author of Taking Back Tara and Letters from David

This time you get what you pay for.

I tried really hard to like this series. I just couldn't convince myself to do it though. Aside from the terrible typos, grammar, and just plain incorrect words, i still had many problems with the stories. Night was trying to put a new spin on a popular genre and I feel it came across as ridiculous.

Very amateur writing in both story and syntax. Fail.

    Awesome!!!!!

I havent finished reading it yet but the typos are annoying, this came up with the last series i read, the samantha moon books. Another great series, also about vampires and werewolves. These books are great reads for spare time, hard to put them down!

    Virtually Unreadable!

I've slogged my way through the first book & partway into the second, hoping for improvement. No luck. This collection is so poorly edited as to be unreadable. Rife with syntax and grammatical errors along with just plain mis-spellings and missing words.

    Good story,but....

This series would have gotten 5 stars if it had not been for the OVER abundance of spelling and grammer mistakes. The stories were good and different enough from other Vampire and Werewolf stories that it kept me interested. All the books need a really good proof reader. I kept having o re- read passages and sentences to fill in missing words or figure out what word should have been the instead of what was written. With all of that the stories still get 4 stars.

Oh good Lord, what a mess...

What an incredible waste of $2.99. The only reason I forced my way through this series is because I had already paid for it. The fact that a bunch of...goons...think this is good writing or storytelling truly makes me fear for our education system.

Sure- I can forgive a few typos. What I cannot forgive is someone who calls themselves an author and then changes subject-verb tense not once, not even twice, but THREE times in the course of a half-paragraph run on sentence. And while I have given up expecting perfection in today's instant-electronic-publishing debacle, or for that matter- competence, it would be lovely if an "author" put forth the tiny bit of effort it would take to keep their story on-track and with a minimum of technical errors.

All that being said- is there a single paranormal mythology this dude did not try to rip off?
I'm sorry boys and girls if you think this is good storytelling, but some folks have, well, standards.

I seriously think HT Night owes me $2.99. Maybe you peeps who gave this travesty of a series good reviews would be willing to do that for him?

    AMAZING read!

Great book! The author really knows how to draw you in from page 1 & keep you wanting more!!!!!! Once I stated I was very reluctant to put it down I finished all 5 books in 3 days! As many have pointed out... YES there's typos & mis-spelled words, to be honest I have yet to come across ANY nook book that hasn't. This series is amazing & it was very easy to overlook any errors. I would DEFINATELY recommend to anyone! Does anyone know when the next book comes out?

Not as Good as I was hoping

I've only read the first book in this series so far. And I was really disappointed. It was not as good as I was hoping. To me the story kind of rambled on. And it wasn't very interesting to me. I have read alot of vampire books and this one just wasn't that good.
