God has made many promises to you, promises that can be found in a book like no other: the Bible. The Bible is both an invaluable gift from above and a practical tool for everyday living. But sometimes, amid the demands and challenges of life, we can lose sight of the blessings and assurances contained in God's Word. This book is intended as an easy-to-use refresher course about the things God can do in your heart and life -- and the things He can do through you.
These 365 devotions focus on God's promises, God's plan, God's instructions, and God's love. Perhaps you've heard about these topics, in one form or another, on many occasions. But it never hurts to be reminded. So throughout the coming year, try this simple experiment: read one page in this guide each day. If you've already established the habit of spending a few quiet moments each morning with God, this book will enrich your experience. If not, you'll discover that by turning your attention to spiritual matters, even briefly, you can set a positive direction of your day and improve the quality of your life.
Each day brings with it opportunities to give yourself an emotional hug by reaffirming your trust in a loving, faithful Creator. When you trust Him, you'll also worship Him -- not just with words but with deeds. And as you learn to trust your heavenly Father completely and to follow Him faithfully, you'll discover that God always keeps His promises. Always!
Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.
Hebrews 10:23 MSG
God's Word contains promisesupon which you can and should depend, promises that address every aspect of your life.
Are you tired? Discouraged? Fearful? Trust the assurances God has made to you. Are you worried or anxious? Be confident in God's power. Do you see a difficult future ahead? Rely upon your Creator for help and support. Are you confused? Listen to the quiet voice of your heavenly Father. He is not a God of confusion.
Talk to God; listen to Him; trust Him, and trust His promises. Get a firm grip on them and hold on tight, knowing that God always keeps His word.
We have ample evidence that the Lord is able to guide. The promises cover every imaginable situation. All we need to do is to take the hand He stretches out.
