This award winning series has been specifically designed for babies. A great introduction to books through well-known nursery rhymes and interactive text. Singing songs and rhymes is the perfect way to bond with your baby and share quality time. It also aids language development by introducing them to the natural sounds and patterns of speech. Combining these with actions also stimulates the brain and helps muscle development.

Editorial Reviews

Kid's Lit Blog
Kubler presents each nursery rhyme simply and successfully. She does not adorn the verse or change it from the original, rather these are modern versions of the classics.
Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The cover shows a toddler with a very dapper looking egg dressed in pants and striped stocking and wearing a hat. They are sitting on a wall made of cushions. Then Humpty takes a great fall. What happens next? All the king's horses and men fail to put Humpty together again. These toddlers are shown riding hobby horses and one of them even sports an eye patch. This colorful group is definitely unhappy with their inability to successfully put Humpty back together. The expressions of dismay and distress are delightful. The illustrations offer a variety of ethnicities and will give little ones plenty to look at and name. On the back cover there is music to accompany the text which is really a nursery rhyme. Part of the "Baby Board Books" series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
Kirkus Reviews
Taking her visual cue from Helen Oxenbury's sublime Clap Hands (1987) and its Big Board Books companions, Kubler sets the familiar nursery rhyme in a jolly day-care setting peopled with a multiethnic cast of toddlers (one even wears a colorful eyepatch, presumably for wandering eye). The action takes place within the context of pretend play, with a child and a toy Humpty on a "wall" of pillows; all the king's horses take the form of hobby horses, and the king himself and his "men" have clearly been raiding the dress-up chest. Together with Hop a Little, Jump a Little! (ISBN: 978-1-84643-341-2), Pat-a-Cake (ISBN: 978-1-84643-338-2) and Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat (ISBN: 978-1-84643-340-5), this is a splendid, slightly larger-than-usual contribution that is sure to see many repeated readings. Musical notations on the back encourage sung renditions for extra fun. (Board book. 6 mos.-18 mos.)
