Nate Tippie and Brandon Wilde are gay, single, and both hoping to meet that special man, even though fate has not yet delivered him to their doorstep. Nate's sister, Hannah, and her kooky best friend, Marilyn, are about to help fate with that task by creating a profile on the gay dating site, OpenHeartOpenMind. The two women are only exploring, but when they need a face and body for the persona they create, they use Nate as the model.
When Brandon comes across the false profile, he falls for the guy he sees online. Keeping up the charade, Hannah begins corresponding with him, posing as Nate. Real complications begin when Brandon wants to meet Nate, but Nate doesn’t even know he’s being used in the online dating ruse. Hannah and Marilyn concoct another story and send Nate out to let the guy down gently. But when Nate and Brandon meet, the two men feel an instant and powerful pull toward each other. Cupid seems to have shot his bow, but how do Nate and Brandon climb out from under a mountain of deceit without letting go of their chance at love?

DISCLAIMER - This is a review for the audio book. If it was the actual book, it would have been a 3 This audio book has lots of players in it, but four major ones. Nate, Brandon, Hannah and Marilyn, Brandon is looking for real love not just a quickie in a bathroom of a club. So he decides to post an ad on a real Gay dating site. Hannah and Marilyn are drunk one night and decide to explore all things gay. Including the same site Brandon just posted his ad. Unfortunately, to get into the site you need your own ad, so they decide to make one up for Hannah’s brother, a gay male. Nate is a very sexually active person and on the outside has not interest in settling down. But lately he’s been thinking more and more about it. Will Brandon find out what the two girls did, will Nate settle down long enough? Argh! The women in this story give us women a bad name, and I have to be honest about half way through (or less) I started skipping their parts. The lies, deceit and the whole demeanor were too much. Both women are at the forty marks and acting like fourteen year old jealous children. And then Brandon’s mother wasn’t much better, but Brandon seemed to be the cause of that. However, I loved Nate and Brandon! I loved that Brandon stuck to his principles even though he knew Nate was ‘the one’. And Nate, knowing he was messing up and being man enough to yes, I screwed up but. I enjoyed the twists and turns of both of these lives I just wished we had it without the women. Which, it could have been done. I heard John Solo several times before and have always enjoyed his voice and once again did a fabulous job. Book 3 rainbows Brandon and Nate really did save this. Narrator 5 rainbows saved this whole thing Overall 4 rainbows I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many Reviews
I love this book. This is the first book by Rick R Reed that I have read. From the beginning it had me hook. I wanted to keep reading but had to put it down to go to bed. I love all the characters. Marilyn and Hannah are so funny. Nate is always looking for love so he has one night stands. Brandon is looking for love not one night stands. This book is is full of fun and a roller coaster ride. I love this author and will add him to my favorite author list.
I was really excited when I read the overview of this book. I enjoyed the first part of the book immensely but I disliked how rushed the main characters slept together. This was a good book but it could have been so much better. Reed has the potential to write amazing books.
I really enjoyed this story and found myself not wanting it to end.
Whether I am reading a mf or a mm book, I want a romance story with an HEA and Hungry for Love fills that requirement. I loved the build up of the relationship between Nate and Brandon, and not one of those stories that just concentrated on the sex. Yes, there were sex scenes, but there was also an emotional connection between them. We have Nate, who has a slew of one night stands, but has come to a conclusion that he wants love, with that one person, a forever kind of love but he has yet to find it. And then there is Brandon, who wants the same thing but who is practically a virgin. He can't seem to find that special one either. Hannah and Marilyn are just so wacko!! It was through them making that profile in the dating website, that Nate and Brandon meet, and the instant connection is there, sparks fly between the 2 of them. Now Hannah is a good sister, I know she should know better than what she did, but through this comedy of errors, Nate and Brandon do find their way to each other, Hannah does find her someone and Marilyn, well, that girl just confused me to no end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it brought out so much emotions in me, I had tears and laughter and joy. And yes, I figured out Nate's real job before it actually came out, that was an interesting part of the story. Do I think Hannah and Marilyn's antics took away from the story? No I don't. Do I recommend you read this book? Yes I do. Thank you Rick for giving me a copy of this book to read and review. I loved it, just love a good romance!!! Oh and the sex scenes were just so hot!!
