Hunter's Moon
Book 5 - Hunter's Moon by Award-Winning Author Jim Jones

They say the hunter's moon is a time to find your courage and power; a time to take action and make changes. Jared Delaney has been adrift in the wilderness for the past year, waiting for his life to change. Now he will wait no more. He will take control of that which he can, and hunt down the final outlaw who was responsible for the deaths of his friends, Sheriff Nathan Averill and his wife, Christy.

Meanwhile, Eleanor Delaney is struggling to manage a cattle ranch and two small children by herself. She is also struggling with the question of whether or not she can forgive her husband for his mistakes and come to trust him again. What she hadn't expected was to have to struggle to keep their ranch out of the clutches of Ramón Alvarez, the unhinged and deadly nephew of the late desperado, Felipe Alvarado.

We all need a little help sometime. Jared will require the assistance, however reluctantly given, of Davey Good, the young man who previously helped him track down the monster, Felipe Alvarado. Eleanor needs all the help she can get from Sheriff Estévan Marés, his brother Tomás, their mother, Anita Marés, and her friend, Maria Suazo.

Set in the late 1880s in the New Mexico Territory, the story is the finale of the Jared Delaney series in which decent, honest folks have to defend their lives and livelihood from the ruthless criminals who would take them. Sometimes, it really is about good versus evil.

"Hunter's Moon heartily embraces all the facets that make for a superior Western story: emotionally compelling characters, discussions of motives and approaches to life, and historical and political revelations that are nicely embedded in the atmosphere of the 1800s." —Midwest Book Review
