Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Those gutsy, resourceful Falconers, 15-year-old Aiden and 11-year-old Meg, are back for the 6th, and final, "On the Run" installment. No longer attempting to elude Hairless Frank (the would-be assassin who framed their parents), they are now planning to lure him into a trap . . . with themselves as bait. It is risky, but it is their parents' only shot at being released from jail. As the story opens, Aiden's helping an injured farmer, while Meg hides on the premises. They place an ad in the paper, hoping to draw Frank out. When he replies, they set up a meeting at a deserted produce terminal only to be caught by a night watchman. In typical Falconer fashion, they escape the locked room via the ceiling's heating ducts! Then their quarry turns out to be a conman! Later, when Frank does show up, he shoots his way out of the trap, and the heroes escape when Meg hits him with . . . a turnip?! Aiden's desperation leads him to risk his life to get Frank's taped confession. Meanwhile, in a dramatic change of heart, Meg recruits the FBI because she is terrified her brother will get killed. In the end, it is Frank who is killed . . . but not before his confession is recorded. As the saga ends, Aiden and Meg are finally reunited with their parents, whose innocence is proven at last. Despite the turnip-as-weapon, this is another rollicking ride by the always entertaining Korman, who shares his protagonists' knack for imaginative solutions. This is a fun, satisfying conclusion to a page-turner of a series. 2006, Scholastic, Ages 11 to 14.

Who ever doesnt read these books there is something wrong these books are amazing!! This is my 5th time reading the series. Meg and Aiden are awsome but Miguel is one of my favorites. There is so much action in these books I couldnt put it down. It is non stop action. I am not going to be a spoiler but I wonder if Aiden and Meg get their parents out of jail and put Frank in jail until he dies. If agent Harris want dumb he would never have put the Falconers in jail and there wouldnt be two fugitives on the run and trying not to get killed. I wonder if they accually will pay ever pennie to every place they stole and reture vehicles like the harley the tundra the atv and other things like that. Ok done.

This is where it all ends. After accidentally burning down the juvenile prison they were stuck at, the siblings are out to find evidence their parents are innocent, though Aidan doubts this is true. Meg and he find proof later on, and he once again is on the search. However, there is an assassin after them, which is an employee of HORUS, the former terrorist organization their parents were found guilty of selling secrets to. The assassin tries many times to kill the two of them, but each time they escape somehow. This is the final time, when Aidan and Meg figure out who the bald man is, and finally are able to tell someone what they find. I am not a spoilsport, so I won't tell you who he is.
