WHAT THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENERGY COMMUNITIES ARE SAYING ABOUT
THE HYDROGEN AGE

"This book by Geoffrey Holland and James Provenzano offers a compelling and comprehensive view of the issues related to the monumental energy transition that is now underway.
It was written for the layperson who wants to be informed.
It could not have come at a better time."

From the foreword by Terry Tamminen
Director of the Climate Program, New America Foundation
Former Secretary of CalEPA, 2003-2006

"I can confidently say that with The Hydrogen Age, Geoff Holland and James Provenzano have given the layperson historical, technical, environmental, and social context to the necessary quest of realizing a truly pollution-free energy economy. This book provides a most valuable resource for the public to get up to speed on where we have been and where we are headed in supplying the world's much needed energy currencies."

Alan C. Lloyd, Ph.D.
President, International Council on Clean Transportation
Chairman, U.S. DOE's Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technical Advisor Committee

"Holland and Provenzano have written the definitive text on civilization's passage from a carbon to hydrogen era. The Hydrogen Age will fundamentally change our culture and economic system and augurs a transformed relationship between technology and the environment. Along with peak oil, we face peak soil, and to find our way forward we will have to look to water as our source of fuel, not further depletion of Iowa farmlands. The Hydrogen Age provides a clear roadmap to carbon drawdown, an enduring civilization, and renewed hope. It is a brilliant and much needed achievement."

and Why No One Saw It Coming

Editorial Reviews

The Apollo Alliance
"This book delivers. The pictures alone tell the story. The Hydrogen Age beautifully makes the case that the age of clean and green energy, including hydrogen and renewables, has arrived. It inspires with its vision of an era in which tens of millions of high quality, environmentally friendly jobs will be generated...distributed renewable energy can power the nations of the world as they build a more democratic, just, and peaceful global society."
— Jerome Ringo, President.
National Hydrogen Association
Written with the same clarity as the script of the film by the same name, The Hydrogen Age demonstrates the kind of thinking needed by people who are serious about wanting to right our planet's environmental ills. The book is content rich and guides the reader through a sophisticated primer of the events that led to the global energy supply we have today. The authors are knowledgeable and passionate and convey their information in a straight-forward, easy-to-understand manner. This is not a book for readers looking for simple solutions that fit neatly into sound bites. The Hydrogen Age is aimed at the reader who wants to understand our energy options and how hydrogen links them all together.
— Debbie L. Smith, Executive Vice President
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Letter
With its engaging, magazine-like layout and extensive use of graphics, Holland and Provenzano’s book pulls the reader along for a breathless tour of all the ways hydrogen can be put to use.

The New Gideons Bible Or How To Really Save The World. I've got an idea. You know all those free Gideons Bibles in hotel rooms all over the world that nobody reads (how many trees? how many carbon emissions?). Let's start a new movement. Let's, one by one, replace them with copies of The Hydrogen Age: Empowering A Clean Energy Future, by Geoffrey Holland and James Provenzano. It's loaded with stories (and pictures) of hope and redemption that we all could read. Now there's salvation.

"As factual as it is visionary, The Hydrogen Age dispels the myths and shows that we can move to a clean energy future. This is a fascinating, much needed book."
