Ramón Galí, aunque de formación científica (es informático), compagina la profesión de docente con su pasión por la ciencia, la tecnología, la historia y el arte, en especial, la literatura. En el año 2.002 resultó triple ganador del concurso de microrrelatos de ciencia-ficción del periódico El Mundo. Precisamente uno de dichos microrrelatos, "Dos microvatios" es el germen de esta novela.
Es el autor de las novelas "La invencible sonrisa de Leonardo" (2.008), "Hypatia y la eternidad" (2.009) y "Las aventuras peregrinas de un escritor peliculero" (2.010).
