The action heats up for Zeus and his fellow Olympians in this blazing Heroes in Training tale.

Phew, it’s hot! Under the titan Hyperion’s rule, the sun is burning even brighter than normal and scorching everything in northern Greece—including the villagers! The Olympians are forced to play a sizzling “game” of Dodge the Sunbursts as Hyperion hurls giant fireballs that could fry them to pieces!

Armed with some clues, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades set out to figure out why in the world Hyperion has been making things so hot. They also need to rescue Hera, who is still missing. Battling the extreme heat—and some fantastical and scary creatures, courtesy of their old foe Cronus—the boys are off on another epic adventure…and Zeus is one step closer to discovering his destiny.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Denise Hartzler
In book four of the “Heroes in Training” series, authors Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams bring us on a heated journey with the young Olympians as they dodge sunbursts being hurled at them by Hyperion. Most importantly they need to save northern Greece from burning to ash, including the villagers. The Olympians, Zeus, Poseidon and Hades set out to solve the mystery of why Hyperion has been making life so hot. They need to rescue Hera who is missing. While battling extreme heat, Holub and Williams give readers scary creatures and another epic adventure as Zeus gets one step closer to finding out his true destiny and finding the most precious person of all, his mother. Putting the pieces together, the Olympians must return the magical flame that lights the Olympic Torch. Binding the flame with the torch will not be an easy task but for the sake of the village and the villagers, they must carry out this mission. With short, easy to read sentences, boys and girls will be thoroughly entertained in this new novel. With surprising allies and fearsome foes, the action never slows. The story lines are easy to follow which makes this a highly recommended read for boys, girls and reluctant readers. Reviewer: Denise Hartzler AGERANGE: Ages 6 to 9.
