Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Lisa Colozza Cocca
What do you get when you combine super strength with super enthusiasm? In this title, part of the "Victory School Superstars" series, Kenzie and her friends, Wendy and Alicia, go to gymnastics camp. Arriving a little early, the girls find the front door locked. Kenzie double checks by giving a tug on the door with her super strength and breaks the lock. When she learns her idol, Emmy Winters, will be helping at the camp, Kenzie forgets all about telling about what she has done to the door. Later, when the coach discovers the door has been broken, Kenzie has to confess to what she has done, even though she knows she might be sent home from camp. The back matter includes a glossary and a short timeline of the history of gymnastics. This short chapter book is highly illustrated with bright, cheerful images. Young girls with Olympic fever will flip for this one. Reviewer: Lisa Colozza Cocca
