Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Barbie is still around and this blue-eyed blond with the perfect figure has taken her pet puppy Lacey to the vet. The vet checks out the dog and she is fine, but the office is really busy, so Barbie offers to help out (no training is apparently required for this job). A room full of perfect kids is waiting with their pets ranging from a blue bird, fluffy bunny, bumpy turtle and more. Ken is on the scene and he has brought in his dog which Barbie is putting on the scale. The kittens escaped from their box (not what one would expect to happen in a vet's office.) The final animal is a pony. This vet seems to be able to treat any animal. The closing page shows all the long-legged beautiful girls lined up with their pet and the vet. If Barbie is of interest then this book will have appeal. A Level 1 book in the "Step Into Reading" series. The book contains a Dear Parents page and the back cover provides a brief description of the different levels within the series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
