Here’s how it works: First you find a picture of a cat online, and then you add a caption that reflects the cat’s point of view. Since its founding in January 2007, icanhascheezburger .com (named after the most famous LOLcat of all) has been the center of the LOLcat world. I Can Has Cheezburger? collects 200 LOLcats from the enormously popular site, some classic and some new, in glorious and glossy full color.

My boyfriend got me hooked on the website and I check it almost everyday. I have now got my mom hooked on it and she loves it too. She uses the pictures as backgrounds on her screen and so occasionally I will go in and find a particularly funny one. But as usual our internet isnt as reliable as we would like it to be and so having a book full of these pictures will be perfect to have around when we want to show them to our friends and family. This is going to be the perfect gift for christmas for many of my friends and family.

O Hai, SweetPersian just doesn't get teh sublime beauty of teh Kitteh talk. She must remember they R kittehs. Not Stoopid Hoomans. This is teh Gr8test Kitteh Book Ever! I am a true cat lover and I have the link to the website on my favorites. After hearing that the book was now out I of course purchased it and I am more than pleased. These guys always put me in a great mood and make me laugh out loud constantly. I love this book!!

Anyone who has ever seen the LOL cats online will enjoy this book. It makes an excellent gift for cat lovers and anyone else who has pets. It is also good for younger (15-20) people who have that oddball sense of humor that comes with youth. I am 58, but I truly laughed out loud (pun intended) at this book and so did my 65 year old husband.

Every morning I wake up to a new 'I Can Has Cheezburger?' on my computer. These cats have never failed to point out the hilarity of everyday human or should I say 'hoomin' life. From putting up with the dog (goggie) and kids, to the spin offs of religion with Ceiling Cat and Basement Cat ('The road to Basement Cat is paved with cat toys'), there is something for everyone to relate too. I'm excited to get a copy and share with my parents, who sadly are, computer illiterate! I'm sure there's and LOLcat for them too.

...or is it: May I Have a Cheeseburger? <BR/><BR/>The pictures, no doubt, are worth a thousand words. The captions are useless and frustrating to read. It should not take two or three attempts to decipher the meaning of a brief description. As an educator, I would never give this book to a child. The promotional gimmick--a heavy play on misspelled words--is an apparent drawback. <BR/><BR/>There are times when a colloquial phrase adds spark to descriptive style. Any effort that seems to go farther than would be necessary to achieve its goal is sheer overkill.<BR/><BR/>If you are intent on giving a book of distinction to anyone, reconsider your choice.

A great stress reliever, inspires lots of chuckles and giggles. It's amazing how our four footed friends add such a dimension to our lives. I just wonder who catches these funny shots, and who has the sense of humor to put just the right caption with it.

This is a great little book. Anyone who loves cats (and perhaps animals in general) should adore this peek into the minds of cats. This book of delightful photographs with sometimes hysterical, and very clever, captions, comes from the same minds that have created the "I can has cheezburger?" or LOLcats website. I don't really know which came first, the website or the book, but the book is a wonderful gift, to cheer people up when they need it, or to just enjoy. I bought one for myself, then ordered another to be sent to a friend who needed a bit of a 'pick-me-up'. They say that stroking a cat (or a dog) can lower ones blood pressure. I don't know if that is true, but if it is, reading this books should do the same thing.

The captions fit the pictures and I could relate to them having seen some of my own cats through the years do the exact things pictured.

If I ever need a good pick me up, I pull out this book. Once I start looking at those funny pictures of adorable cats, I'm cheered up again. The book inspired me to find cat pictures and make my own greeting cards with little captions. My family and friends love them. The size of this book makes it just right to place in a tote bag or keep in the car. It's a great gift for that person who already has everything or the one that's so difficult to shop for. It makes an especially nice gift for your cat lover friend. Or, anyone who loves animals. Or, anyone with a sense of humor. You can't go wrong with this terrific little book.

These pictures of the cats and their thoughts put to words is sitting next to my recliner for whenever I need a good laugh. The cat's expressions match the captions in a way that only someone who knows and loves cats could write. Loved it.

Why we need a $10 book of them when you can get it on the internet for free is beyond me. Like similar books in this vein (Stuff White People Like, Chuck Norris Facts, etc.), it's nice to have it in book form, but ultimately superfluous, so the book loses points just on that. Save your money and buy something you can't get every day on your computer.
