Children's LiteratureIt is often difficult for parents to know if they are teaching young children enough about the values of life, and respect for other people. This series of six volumes, each addressing a different behavior, is a great tool for early childhood teachers, as well as parents. The drawings on each page are brightly colored, and each illustration includes children from multicultural background. Text is limited to twenty words or less on each page. Text usually appears at the bottom of the page only. The reader sees that it is important to help little brothers and sisters to learn things we already know. Just eating lunch with a new student, helping someone to pick up dropped books, and sharing someone's sad times can show you care. This is part of the "Doing the Right Thing" series. This is an excellent addition for all early childhood collections. 2005 (orig. 2002), Gareth Stevens Publishing, Ages 4 to 6.
