Children's LiteratureIt is often difficult for parents to know if they are teaching young children enough about the values of life, and respect for other people. This series of six volumes, each addressing a different behavior, is a great tool for early childhood teachers, as well as parents. The drawings on each page are brightly colored, and each illustration includes children from multicultural background. Text is limited to twenty words or less on each page. Text usually appears at the bottom of the page only. The main character uses the situation of running for class president to illustrate how important it is to always tell the truth. This is part of the "Doing the Right Thing" series, and would make a useful addition to any early childhood collection. It will also make a great gift for young children; and it is made for sharing with grandchildren. 2005 (orig. 2002), Gareth Stevens Publishing, Ages 4 to 6.
