Overview

Cat lovers will laugh out loud at the quirkiness of their feline friends with these insightful and curious poems from the singular minds of housecats. In this hilarious book of tongue-in-cheek poetry, the author of the internationally syndicated comic strip Sally Forth helps cats unlock their creative potential and explain their odd behavior to ignorant humans. With titles like "Who Is That on Your Lap?," "This Is My Chair," "Kneel Before Me," "Nudge," and "Some of My Best Friends Are Dogs," the poems collected in I Could Pee on This perfectly capture the inner workings of the cat psyche. With photos of the cat authors throughout, this whimsical volume reveals kitties at their wackiest, and most exasperating (but always lovable).

From the Publisher
"4 stars."
- LitPick"

perfectly captures the odd, sweet, and sometimes sassy minds of our feline companions."
Tails Magazine"

With poems like 'Who Is That On Your Lap,' 'Nudge' and 'Kneel Before Me,' this quirky book will surely induce laughter and whimsical from all who decide to delve into its poetry."
-Trend Hunter"

Poems by cats? Honestly? Yes."I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats' once opened, is as evil as an evil little book can get. It went from desk to desk to desk here at The Post, clawing anyone who's had or known a feline into its silly spell and sucking precious tens of minutes into its hairy vortex.

In four cat-egories - family, work, play, and existence - Francesco Marciuliano (writer of the comic strip "Sally Forth") has given voice to cats' 'every desire, their every conflict, their every epiphany.' Also why they'll put an entire paw in your wine glass when you have a date over."
- The Denver Post"

Francesco Marciuliano has collected poems by cats into a hilarious little book. From expressing their love for dead mice to pulling over Christmas trees, cats reveal their genius and neuroses"

Lended to me, super funny

I actually bought this for my wife, but she read substantial portions of it to me. We both laughed out loud, particularly because in the poems we could hear the voices of cats we've lived with (not owned; people don't really own cats). The author writes in different poetic styles (e.g., haiku) appropriate for the poem at hand. If you love cats but don't think you like poetry, this book could change your mind.

Cute, entertaining, humorous, insightful, fun. Well worth the money. Keep it, refer to it, share it with friends and family. Cat lovers will really enjoy this. Non-cat afficianados will probably chuckle, too.

I loved this book. I wanted to buy 3 more but the B&N stores in Hurst, TX; Arlington, TX; and downtown Fort Worth, TX were sold out. A must have for all cat lovers

As a cat lover and teacher of English and Creative Writing (high school)I was so intrigued by the idea behind this book that I had to have it. It's a delightful read and gave me as much insight into what my two felines might be musing about as Gwen Cooper's fabulous novel LOVE SAVES THE DAY. A definite "paws up!"

Anyboy who has been owned by or known a cat will enjoy this one. There were many laugh-out-loud poems and all brought a smile or nod of the head. I will keep this one to read again.

This is a review for everyone that got something else for a free sample like me (grrrr b&n). I was curious so I took the plunge. Don't buy this on an e-reader, this is one of those books that you get in hard copy. Like my headline says, cute but not 10 dollars ( more or less) of cute and it's only about 26 pages long. The photos are funny, the "poems" slightly less so. Although, as they are written from a cat's perspective I suppose it's asking too much for any literary rules to apply, or make sense, or rhyme or really have anything intelligent to say at all (dog lover here) :-) Buy the hard copy, at least you can cut out the cute/funny pix and prose and turn them into fridge magnets and locker decorations.

My friend gave me this book for Valentine's Day and it was the best gift I've received in years! I laughed so much, I sent one to my granddaughter in college. She loved it and said it was a great break from studying!

The sample is not this book. Do not get it. Do not ig nore the warinings. The sample is a book called frost fire. I am warning you. DO NOT GET THIS SAMPLE!!!!!!! I ignored the warinings and got it anyways. IT WAS NOT THE RIGHT BOOK!!! Still... It is advised to actually buy the book not get the sample. The real problem is I do not know if the real book is frost fire or not but you should buy the book and not get the dumb sample.

If you are a cat lover and/or a cat owner, you must check this out. You will see your cat in the poems and laugh your head off! You'll say they must have had your cat in mind when they wrote it.

A friend gave me this e-book of cat poetry for Christmas. I read it right away and loved it. The poems are all from the cats' point of view, which is what was so much fun. The photographs of cute cats made it even better.

If you have a cat, if you love kitties, if you love humor then you will love I Could Pee on This. Francesco Marciuliano has nailed the mind of a cat. I'm certain. Buy three. One to leave on your coffee table after you read it, one to give as a gift and another for the friend you forgot about and who needs a pick-me-up. Either laugh out loud or call your local ambulance service. It truly is a fun book and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. While you are at it, take a quick look at I Am Pusheen the Cat.
