Meet the Author

Free From Bondage Ministry was started just a few short years ago. As a newly ordained minister, I felt that too many people were tinkering around with God's Word. Translating it into what made them comfortable, rather than how God's Word could help them be accountable and truly righteous. And the stakes are too high to be tinkering. It is your eternal life you are gambling with.Because there is a distinct difference between saying to believe in God, and acting as a believer in God. And that difference could make all the difference for your salvation. The message from Free From Bondage Ministry is simple, yet not easy. But we have seen "miracles" that even many with a strong faith discard as "impossible". Which made us aware that the message we got from God needed to be brought to a bigger public. Hence these books. There is more information available at our website: freefrombondage.weebly.comAnd yes, we are a very small ministry. No bells and whistles, no fancy stuff. We use what comes our way to spread God's Word. So referrals are highly appreciated.May God bless you,Free From Bondage Ministry.

I downloaded this book hoping to find a way of discussing atheistic views with my niece who is currently unsure what she believes. The idea behind the book is compelling, but the writing is so poor, I couldn't get to the real message. All I wanted to do was edit the thing. There are innumerable misspellings, grammatical errors, and sentences that just go nowhere. For example, "Bare with us." I think that means to get naked with us, doesn't it? The correct verbiage is "Bear with us." To top it off, the entire book goes nowhere. It is a misleading title, an inept attempt at writing, and absolutely unsubstantiated. There are no footnotes, documentation, or even a note as to where the writer gets his Bible quotes. As a Christian, I am embarrassed by this drivel. Seriously, the author needs to get an editor, a proofreader, or, at the very least, a dictionary.

The author claims to understand why atheists don't believe and other people are not christians. What you get is the folowing. A naive speculation on where fossils come from ... truly laughable if you take a minute or two to acquaint yourself with the real evidence. A folksy panoramic paraphrase of literalist "Biblical" history with a bit of attempted humor. And finally -- Ta Da -- the understanding the author has about me, an atheist, and anyone else who doesn't subscribe to literalist, anti-intellectual, fundamentalist christianity. Are you ready? --- the devil lied to us !!!! That's it - Seriously! We would all be ONE in belief with the author, singing Kumbaya while sitting around the cross or empty grave of jesus IF, yes IF we were fortunate enough to not be listening to the lies of the devil. Cute! Yup, Free from Bondage Ministry really does understand us --- Doesn't it make you all warm and bubbly inside! This tract is 51 pages --- it does provide a few yuks when you stop to think that they truly do take themselves seriously. Otherwise save your time for better things ... I justified my time by being a speed reader and writing this public service review. It only cost me around 15 minutes. If you don't read as fast you can glean the whole message from the above.

Incomprehensible. Typos galore. I'm pretty sure the subject of atheism is never actually discussed. If it is, I cannot decipher it. At least it didn't cost me anything but time.

I will not comment on the theology which is a rewarming of the old Flip Wilson gag, The Devil Made Me Do It! To review the essay? One word. Incoherant.

Childish drabble. I would have given it zero stars but the review site wouldn't let me.

Why do people have negative, or sinful, thoughts? Because before the Ice Age, God made a first attempt to create sentient creatures - whome we call the angels - and when a third of them rebelled God took their physical form from them so they would be forced to live eternally in the hell of their unfulfillable carnal desires; our negative thoughts are their evil telepathic whispers to us for revenge. Really. That's what this writer argues. I'm still an atheist.

This book was not created to poke fun at the Christians of the world. The summary is not descriptive enough, and to me it seemed like a joke for some haters at first. This is supposed to be a book that empathizes with atheists, but I'm sorry to admit that the author did not do a wonderful job... there was too much corny language and I noticed a bit of skipped editing. However, the author deserves some credit for being bold enough to talk about his or her faith. At first, Christianity sounds corny, as if it is just some stories. But try to be open-minded. If you were to dive into it like you would a good book you would recognize the passion and sacrifice and love, along with the hate and ugliness and brokenness. Jesus loves you, even if you don't acknowledge Him... What I'm saying is you should not read this book. Pick up a copy of the Bible...you don't even need to spend ten bucks on it, here on the Nook store. I'm betting someone you know would be glad to lend their's to you.

After reading the reviews it makes me wonder how people can be so hypocritical. Oh yes god this jesus that there goes mark luke and john i have to go sit in a church for an hour to feel bad about my whole week so a supposed god can forgive me for supposedly bad things. I think a lot of the time people just say they believe in god cause everyone else does and if someone says otherwise theyre automatically wrong and their opinion "sucks" and theyre "stupid" for not believing in a supposed being that killed his own son and placed a fake eternal guilt trip on humanity. I went to a catholic school for 9 years. And i still cant believe in something that seems so... made up. For all we know jesus was a scam artist magician pimp (i say pimp cause of mary magdalen) or he could be everything the book says. We'll never know so really any opinion is acceptable. Everyone who chooses to believe in a magic puppet master to me are simpleminded, and wont look further into the matter because theyre afraid of what theyll find. "He without sin may cast the first stone." So keep your negative comments to yourselves. Since love thy neighbor applies to you people.

These reviews are just proof of the drivel crammed down your throat at any religious institution! All the religious people here are so concerned with "protecting" the reputation of their god, completely ignoring the point of this review site: TO REVIEW THE BOOK! Those who did actually review the book itself (and not gripe about how offensive the topic was) were obviously atheists, thus confirming my beliefs (if you couldn't tell, im an atheist).
