Once in every 20 years, a work of fantasy is so powerful that it creates its own mythology. I, Dragon is such a book. The Unicorn are all laid low. The Gryphon is done in. Chimera and the Mantilough are whispers on the wind. Of all the Mystics bold and proud, only the Dragon still flies, riding clouds in far forbidden skies.

A magical journey into a mystical realm of timeless themes. Taken from the viewpoint of an ancient dragon, we explore the eternal conflicts between good and evil that rage beneath all skins and uncover paths of higher consciousness through the chaos of interspecial experience. A very emotionally satisfying and imaginative ride through the cerebral regions of creative storytelling at its finest.

As a book, I, Dragon is simply unique. If you read it as a pure fantasy, it¿s a true original. Taken entirely from the point of view of the dragon, it offers a genuine departure from the ¿usual suspects¿ of sword and sorcery stories. And the twists and turns of plot are both mind-bending and refreshing. And yet, this book is so much more than that. It is also deep into the spiritual metaphor. And because it takes that upon itself it is both a brilliantly flawed and deeply courageous piece of writing. If you¿re a truly adventuresome reader who loves a good saga, I recommend it highly.

Having read the first draft of this novel when author Robert Joseph Ahola first began it some twenty years ago, the chrysalis has now become a butterfly, and I, Dragon has matured into a comprehensive, intriguing and beguiling metaphor for a compelling spiritual odyssey. Beautifully written, the author's words captivate the reader immediately and we are drawn into a complex and enchanting adventure. You won't be able to put it down. Bravissimo!
