About the Author

Nia Renee is the Owner and Creator of the blog, How to Love a Battered
Woman. She created HTLABW with the intentions of creating a place for herself that creates self love and self care. She created this platform to allow others to have a place and voice to not feel alone and to speak or not speak about the injustices that they have faced in their life. Any type of abuse whether it be Physical, Mental, Emotional, Psychological, Sexual abuse, Rape, Childhood sexual assault, abuse, and rape, and Parental Abuse, is never the victim/survivors fault. It is a difficult journey to be on and certainly a journey that one had no intentions of being on and Nia Renee understands that at such a gratitude that is higher than herself or what she expected her calling to be. Nia Renee’s abuse journey began at the age of 4 years old before she had the chance to grow. Her childhood and innocence was taken away from her before she had a chance to realize what life was. But, ultimately in the end, she realizes that her story, her heartbreaking story, is a hard one but it is her journey and her purpose. Not only is she taking the time to learn self love within herself, her mental health, and her self care, she is bravely and most incredibly opening up for the world to see her scars. Mental health is the number one most important in her life as well as freedom, at whatever that may be defined as. Nia Renee is honored and thankful for those who have joined this journey she has embarked on. And she without a doubt loves her #BatteredHearts. This is not the end, it is without a doubt the beginning.
