I have read many war books in my time, but nothing has captivated me both in body, mind and spirit as Robert Winston Mercy's 'I Hear No Bugles.' So much has been revealed of a war that some say was the 'Forgotten' war through Robert Winston Mercy as he sheds a great deal of wealth of that horrific war with great remembrance and detail. I have ultimately enjoyed the numerous pages of photograph's. Not only is Robert Winston Mercy the uncomparable author of his book, he has many other talents as an actor in numerous series of 'Combat', 'Maverick' and quite a list of other films. He discusses what led to his desire to become a soldier and the aftermath of being a soldier with the vision of his own eyes by being there to experience first hand combat. This book holds a wealth of history, thouroughly documented by Robert Winston Mercy, that should not be overlooked, nor should it be 'Forgotten.' Thank you Sir Mercy for your devotion, dedication, committment of service to our country! It was truly an honor to read your book. I would strongly suggest readers to invest their time into reading this 'outstanding' book. Consulting Business Leonardtown, Maryland

Readers own it to themselves to 'personally' own this truly 'powerful' 'memoir.' Mr. Mercy has put every fiber of his being into this 'amazing, authentic, inspirational' memoir. Not only is this a wonderful memoir to 'own,' it's the 'perfect gift.'<BR/><BR/>For those who haven't a clue about the 'forgotten' war, this is not only a history of that war, but, Mr. Mercy's firsthand account experience in Korea, which will teach and inspire you, with his knowledge of what actually occured. <BR/><BR/>"I Hear No Bugles," is 5 stars across the board! Without a 'doubt,' or 'hesitation,' I highly recommend purchasing this 'memoir.' You will not regret it.<BR/><BR/>Most Sincerely,<BR/>Brenda Wise, Leonardtown, Maryland, U.S.A.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I was unable to put this book down once I started to read it. I could not believe what he and his brother Richard and band of brothers endured during the Koren War. It is a must read for everyone to gather an understanding of what our Soldiers and Marines endured during this so called "Conflict." Mr. Mercy, through his writing, puts you right smack in the middle of the Korean War with him and his brother Richard through your mind's eye. Excellent writing! Robert and Richard and his band of brothers are truly heroes! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
