...And Ain't Brazil The Lucky One!

What a magnificent album! Sassy is in fabulous voice here, with songs as well-suited to the tender touch as is Sarah's voice to the ear. Listen for the subtle heartbreak in "If You Went Away" and "A Little Tear", the bouncy, swinging, jazzy lullaby joy of "The Face I Love", and what has to be the perfectly minimalist rendering of the great tune "Like A Lover". It's hard to pick a favorite among these tunes because, like with all great music, you get something new with each replaying-but my heart is lovingly rebroken every time I hear "If You Went Away"-such a lovely song. If you've not experienced the seductive yet lulling quality of the music of Brazil, especially in the hands of masters, then this is the album for you.
