Each page is a different animal baby and mother performing the action mentioned in the text. For example, a mother kangaroo is shown putting her joey in her pouch. The text reads, "She tucks me in." According to a statement on the back inside cover, "The animal behavior pictured in this book has been verified by wildlife biologists." There is a wide range of animals from domestic, to farm, to woodland to arctic, to sea life, and more. Wolff's animals are drawn clearly and distinctly for the toddler set. The variety of animals in their natural habitats adds great interest to the book.     We read this book, and its companion, I love my daddy because...to my daugther when she was little, and I order this book for new baby gifts all the time. The pictures and message are so sweet - it is a timeless classic!

    favorite book

    I purchased this book for my 12 month old daughter and she has loved this book from the first day she was saw it. It is the only book in her collection that she wants read over and over and over.

    Best Book Ever (for mom's to read to kids!)

    I happened to find this book while searching for something new for my daughter. I loved the story, short and sweet & to the point. The pictures are beautiful! Most importantly, she loved it, and sat through it, twice!
