Editorial Reviews

Susan Halperin
Invitingly clear and bright Bryon Bartonesque artwork accompanies simple verse highlighting favorite vehicles. Labeled endpapers provide a composite of the featured trucks along with an additional fact about each one. The bold, large-scale pictures will make this a hit with even the youngest of truck lovers.
The Horn Book Guide
Children's Literature
Here is a cute book for very young truck lovers. The pages show the various trucks and name them—trailer trucks, tow trucks, trucks that roll and even those that dig and dump, but the one that this fellow loves best is the one the "brings ice cream to my door." Bright, stylized illustrations go well with the spare text. A board book version of the original picture book, this edition retains what kids love best—the pictures of trucks. This is a book that will appeal to toddlers. 2003 (orig. 1999), HarperCollins,

School Library Journal
PreS-For toddlers with an insatiable appetite for trucks, this is a perfect choice. Vehicles that crawl, roll, dig, dump, mix concrete, gobble trash, and do a multitude of other things are depicted in simple rhyming language and big, bold illustrations outlined in black. On the front and end pages are facts about different kinds of trucks that will fascinate slightly older children. A book that's similar in style to Byron Barton's Trucks (Crowell, 1986) and sure to be popular.-Sally R. Dow, Ossining Public Library, NY

My son loved this book from 3 months-3 years

This was an instant hit for my son from the time we started reading books together and the first book he memorized and "read" to himself. Just now at 3 years he's lost some interest in the simplicity of it. Simple story with lots of different types of trucks and clear pictures of the trucks. Received as a gift and now we give as a gift to other young boys.

    Great Book

Great book, I have a 2 and 4 year old and they love to read this book and talk about all the different trucks. We actually lost our first one and and I ordered another book.
